How Does Febreze Work??

sample of febreze..

Does Febreze remove odors or merely mask them?
Here's a look at how Febreze works, including information about its active ingredient, cyclodextrin, and how the product interacts with odors.

Here's the lowdown on Febreze. It's a product that was invented by Procter & Gamble and introduced in 1996. The active ingredient in Febreze is beta-cyclodextrin, a carbohydrate. Beta-cyclodextrin is an 8-sugar ringed molecule that is formed via an enzymatic conversion of starch (usually from corn).
How Febreze Works

The cyclodextrin molecule sort of resembles a donut. When you spray Febreze, the water in the product partially dissolves the odor, allowing it to form a complex inside the 'hole' of the cyclodextrin donut shape. The stink molecule is still there, but it can't bind to your odor receptors, so you can't smell it. Depending on the type of Febreze you're using, the odor might simply be deactivated or it might be replaced with something nice-smelling, like a fruity or floral fragrance. As Febreze dries, more and more of the odor molecules bind to the cyclodextrin, lowering the concentration of the molecules in air and eliminating the odor. If water is added once again, the odor molecules are released, allowing them to be washed away and truly removed.

This is the three-dimensional structure of beta-cyclodextrin, the active ingredient in Febreze odor eliminator.

Some sources state that Febreze also contains zinc chloride, which would help to neutralize sulfur-containing odors (e.g., onions, rotten eggs) and might dull nasal receptor sensitivity to smell, but this compound is not listed in the ingredients (at least in the spray-on products).

National Education Philosophy

The National Philosophy of Malaysian Education (NPME) as stated by Curriculum
Development Centre (CDC) 1988 is as follows:
"Education in Malaysia is an on-going efforts towards further developing the potential of individuals in a holistic and integrated manner, so as to produce individuals who are intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and physically balanced and harmonic, based on a firm belief in and devotion to God.
''Such an effort is designed to produce Malaysian citizens who are knowledgeable and competent, who possess high moral
standards and who are responsible and capable of achieving high level of personal well-being as well as being able to contribute to the harmony and betterment of the family, the society and the nation at large"

Fila Chart

our first lesson in class today is about fila chart. it is important to do a fila chart before you solve certain problems. actually, I do not use fila chart before, especially before writing an essay, what should we do first, what is the main point an otherso u. after my lecture explain about it, I now know when to use it. let me explain to you about fila chart.
F- facts
I- information
L- learning outcomes
A- actions.
here are one example of fila chart that we used in our assignment.

My Professional Development Plan.

My Goals
Since I am now studying degree level, I want more than nothing to graduate as soon  as possible, as I am so impatient to be a teacher.  I am the student of Bachelor in Chemistry Education at UPSI and as chemistry is my major, I took mathematics as my minor. I am very looking forward to learn more about chemistry especially in education field, in research studies and chemistry process skills studies.  I think  I am finally found my passion in education and I am looking forward for it. I want to be the the  best teacher for my students in order to change their mind set about chemistry, tell them that chemistry is a fun thing to learn and I want them to excel in their studies especially in chemistry and mathematics subject.

My Teaching Goals.
In the classroom, I hope I will not spoon-feed my students with the factual information or solely the contents. I want them to be independent in order for them to increase their knowledge. However, I am not going to be too strict with them, I want  to create a positive classroom environment with my students in order for them to studies better. I do not want them to be stress in my classroom and I want them to think that chemistry is a fun and interesting subject.
In order to be an excellent teacher, I have to improve my teaching skills too. I will teach them using various simulations, and animations in order for them to study better. Instead of that, I want my students to think creative and critical ways. Emphasizing on student centered learning strategies, I will help my students to explore and develop their own skills, know about their advantage and improve themselves to be a better person. As a result, instead of excel in their studies, they they also learn to be a better person.

molecules and moles

electrochemistry and results of metals in different solution.

what is electrochemistry???
electrochemistry  is a branch of chemistry that studies chemical reactions which take place in a solution at the interface of an electron conductor (a metal or a semiconductor) and an ionic conductor (the electrolyte), and which involve electron transfer between the electrode and the electrolyte or species in solution.
If a chemical reaction is driven by an external applied voltage, as in electrolysis, or if a voltage is created by a chemical reaction as in a battery, it is anelectrochemical reaction.

metals in aqueous solution..
In contrast, chemical reactions where electrons are transferred between molecules are called oxidation/reduction (redox) reactions. In general, electrochemistry deals with situations where oxidation and reduction reactions are separated in space or time, connected by an external electric circuit.
here are some simulation that show results of different metals in different solution..
please check it out!! (^_^)
